We are proud to announce that we have just released the 5th
upgrade for STARYS-Manager!
With Version V1.27, as with V1.26, we focused largely on
what our clients wanted in additional functionality.
Password security: In STARYS-Administrator, users
can now set a number of options to strengthen (or to relax)
password requirements to suit their company policy. Password
length, type of characters required, number of days until
expiry, number of failed logins are just a couple of the
new password security options you can choose from.
NOVELL GroupWise: Similar to how we interact with
Microsoft OUTLOOK, alerts, emails, reminders and meetings
can now also be scheduled with NOVELL GroupWise. While GroupWise
is not quite as compatible as OUTLOOK, this feature is already
successfully used with some of our clients.
Changing Databases: A feature that we especially
designed for consultants is that you can now create and
access multiple databases with STARYS-Manager. This allows
consultants to create and tailor a database for each of
their clients.
Windows VISTA: STARYS-Manager is now compatible with
Windows VISTA

an exciting event to make businesses and the community

Version 1.25 of STARYS®Manager builds on the existing

significant additional functionality and many exciting
new improvements.

Close integration with Microsoft Outlook:
Set alerts and reminders from virtually anywhere
in the program
Import and export contacts from Outlook
Automated new notification emails
Other email applications (e.g. Novell GroupWise,
Lotus Notes) can be integrated on request
New Risk Management Features
A step-by-step wizard guides makes the risk
assessment process in V1.25 even easier to use.
With a few mouse-clicks only, create a new
risk assessment report including up to six photos.
Similar reports can now be created from any
other item stored in STARYS®Manager and
empty templates can be printed to collect data
away from the office.
Document Management System
Outlook tasks can now be set to remind users
that a document is due for review.
Paste version number and revision date into
a document and send out automated notification
emails each time a document has been updated.
Documents now can be linked to other documents
and Hyperlinks can be created from any item
or risk assessment and pasted into other applications
(e.g. Word, Excel, Visio etc.). Click on these
links to automatically find and open the item
in STARYS®Manager.
Some of the new general features
A "Viewer" license is now available that will
enable unlimited employees to view and print
documents, items and reports in STARYS®Manager,
without allowing them to edit anything.
All items can now be moved from one organisational
unit to another, using the standard windows
"drag & drop" functionality.
"Event" types are now user-definable (e.g.
incidents, audit, staff training, excursion
etc.)

Incident Management and Emergency Response System.
The new STARYS-IncidentManager (SIM) will be fully integrated
with the existing risk management and document control
modules and will allow you to comply with Standards
such as AS/NZS1885.1

the new SIM will be extremely flexible and allow your

environmental or quality issues, customer complaints,
